for those who don't already know, i had to cancel the reunion at executive caterers due to not having the response that i expected, and i couldn't be held responsible for another $15,000+. i've lost my deposit in doing this, but it's better than trying to come up with the rest of the money that i would owe them. i've canceled out everyone's responses, and set the page up to manage this all over again. the date is still the same, just at another venue, a little cheaper, and we got more for our money as well. i have the details posted below

still working

don't worry, i haven't forgotten about this!!! i have been swamped with school and then christmas (somebody tell me where that went this year?). anyways, i have a couple weeks left before i'm back in school for my last semester...FINALLY!!!!  next week, i am planning on driving around and visiting some of the places that i have found that can accommodate more than 400 people, and i'm hoping to be able to put down a deposit to hold a date by the begining of febuary and i'll be able to let you guys know how much tickets will be about mid febuary or so, or at the latest mid march during my spring break.....but i know it will be a 2-day event---saturday night formal adults only, then sunday afternoon, we'll have a picnic of some sorts. i was thinking of having it sometime around the better in mentor festival (AKA. wetter in mentor) either the weekend before or the weekend after....so begining or end of september. email me or leave a comment on here, and what ever is best for the majority of our classmates, we'll go with that one....and i'll update after i go looking around within the next... possibility

after talking to a couple people, i was thinking....would any of you be interested in having i guess like a "2-day" event??

we can all go out, just adults, on a saturday night, then on sunday we can get together for the afternoon at a park somewhere. a pot luck type thing? every one brings their own dish, or just packing our own lunches and for those of us who have kids, letting the ids get together and play as well?

its just a thought, let me know what you think

in response to dave---i'm not looking to have this at a "bar" with the size of our class and the number of responses i've already had it would be too small. right now, i'm looking at different halls and have requested some information from many of them and am waiting for it to come in, i still also like the goodtime idea, plus entertainment is provided there. we'll see what we all are thinking. do we want this to be just a casual "get together" we can have a park or something, throw in some volleyball, softball, grilling or something. or would we rather have a hall with a dj and dance and have a good time? i'm trying to keep the price reasonable.

i've been getting plenty of emails regaurding the reunion. i'm glad there is enough interest in having one. i've been contacting venues, and have found some nice ones in the downtown area. i'm waiting to recieve information in the mail from them....i don't intend on having a real expesive event, but i would like to get an idea from people on what they are willing to spend per person. and i have already decided as to wherever we decide to have this there will be a cash bar. it wouldn't be fair or those who don't intend on drinking to have to pay extra. some of the other venues i've been looking at can be found on wwwsammys.com. keep spreading the word and thank you everyone for contacting us and showing your interest

i intend on using this site to keep everyone informed on what's going on with our reunion. we're just getting things started and trying to gather all the information that we can. erin has begun to get email addresses along with mailing addresses from some of you already and will forward the list on to me. i will keep a list on this site of who we have already (i will only post the names, no other information, unless you tell me otherwise) and if you think of or know of anyone else's information that isn't on that list, please forward it on to me.

we're trying to see how many of you are actually interested in attending our reunion so that we know how big or small of a place we will need.

as of right now, i am going to start calling places to get some information sent out to me to get some ideas.

we would like your input as well on what you would like, how much you're willing to pay, etc.

please spread the word, let's get the party started
